First Year Production Colt Second Generation Single Action Army Revolver with Black Box
Manufactured in 1956, the first year of post-war production for the 2nd Generation Single Action Army revolver. The top of the barrel is marked with the one line address, the left side "COLT SINGLE ACTION ARMY 38 SPECIAL" and the left side of the frame is marked with the two line, three patent dates followed by the Rampant Colt. Matching serial number on the bottom of the frame and on the front and back straps under the grips. The grips are numbered to match. Casehardened frame and blue remaining parts with polished hammer sides, and fitted with two piece checkered plastic grips with the Rampant Colt at the top. Complete with an original black, hinged lid box with green interior.

Condition: Excellent. The revolver retains 99% original blue finish with some slight muzzle wear, a faint drag line on the cylinder and light handling marks. The frame retains all of the original bright case colors. The grips are excellent with a few minor handling marks. Clear markings. Mechanically excellent. The box is very good with a couple minor tape repairs and some corner and interior wear.
