Forward America, Destiny is the title of the painting depicting George Washington, Ben Franklin, Jefferson, Penn, etc. The artist was Henry (Hy) Hintermeister (American, 1897–1972). Henry Hintermeister was born in 1897 in New York. His father John Henry Hintermeister was an illustrator as well. Father and son often worked as a duo, from the 1890’s to the 1940’s, under the pseudonym Hy Hintermeister. They became well known producing over 1,000 of illustrations; John Henry and Henry were often compared to Norman Rockwell with their illustration storytelling. The duo produced a series of calendars, including this one for the First national Bank, Reno, NV. The last page, December, is still attached. Printed behind the calendar pages were monthly calendars for 1933 and 1934 and legal holidays listed, and a note on how to use the Maturity Calendar.

A quote below the image reads: "Here is portrayed the stalwart determination that has molded the destiny of our country. Success, power, and the respect of the world have largely resulted because of the invincible spirit of Washington, the wisdom of Franklin, Jefferson's vision and Penn's friendliness. Ambition and faithfulness guided the works of Hamilton, Bradford and Raleigh; courage prompted Hudson and Columbus to sail uncharted waters. these heroes conquered despite all difficulties. Perfection was on their western horizon. Their spirits live on--America marches forward."
