<B>First Lady Lou Henry Hoover Signature</B></I> “<I>Lou Henry Hoover</B></I>”. On a 3” x 1.75” autograph card, in ink, bright, bold signature in fine condition. Mrs. Hoover's signature comes with a typed transmittal letter on While House letterhead, dated June 26, 1929 from her secretary, Ruth Fesler to noted autograph collector Henry Luhrs which reads in part: “As Mrs. Hoover is so very busy I regret that she does not have time to do more than write her name for you to use in your collection of autographed material.” The letter has been tipped into a paper folder. The original White House envelope that accompanied the letter has been mounted to the front of the folder. Laid into the folder is a copy of a pamphlet by Zoe Beckley entitled "Mrs. Herbert Hoover - 'American Through and Through'.” Lou Henry Hoover (1874-1944) was wife and First Lady to Herbert Hoover, 31st president of the United States.<BR><BR><b>Shipping:</b> Flat Material, Small (<a target="_blank" href="http://www.heritageauctions.com/common/shipping.php">view shipping information</a>)
