<B>First Lady Florence Kling Harding Check Signed</B></I> “<I>Florence Kling Harding</B></I>”. 5.75” x 2.75”, on Mrs. Harding's Marion National Bank check stock, October 16, 1924. Florence Kling Harding was the wife of President Warren G. Harding. The check is made payable to Mrs. C. E. Sawyer, the wife of former Surgeon General, Charles E. Sawyer. It was Dr. Sawyer who convinced Mrs. Harding to return to Marion, Ohio and receive treatment at the Sawyer Institute for the kidney ailment that ultimately killed her. The check has a small 1” tear at the center, which affects the “S” on Sawyer's name, else near fine. <I>Ex. Henry E.
