According to the included factory letter, this revolver was part of a 17 gun order shipped on 17 March 1902 W.B. Belknap & Company of Louisville, Kentucky. Excluding the "Not Listed" grips, all features are confirmed. Fixed sights, with the two line Hartford address and "41 COLT." on the barrel and crescent-headed ejector rod. Two line/ three date patent marking on the frame next to the circled Rampant Colt, "565" assembly number, and matching numbers on the trigger guard and rear grip strap. Checkered two piece grips, with Rampant Colt logos at the tops.

Condition: Fine, with 40% of the original blue finish, showing a mixed gray and brown patina, bright wear on the edges and under the ejector head, and scattered dents. traces of the original case colors are visible on the frame, strongest in the protected areas, with a mixed gray overall. Grips are very good, with some smoothing and dents on the checkering. Mechanically excellent.
