First Flight Air Mail Cover w/Indian Motorcycle Ad 1929
This envelope is historic not only as being a First Flight Air Mail Cover, but it was also carried by motorcycle. The mail is an international F.A.M. 6 from Miami, post marked from 1929. But at some point it missed a connection and was carried by Indian cycle. The motorcycle stamp is from Indian Cycle Agency, Clintonville, Wisconsin, with the name of Henry O. Meisel. Along with being involved in the agency, Meisel later became president of the American Metered Postage Society (AMPS) and was active for nearly 30 years. * This cover is full of postal history, and American motorcycle history.
