First Day Game at New Soldier Field Chicago Bears NFL
ONLINE
After getting worked by the Green Bay Packers on the stadium's opening night, and then falling behind 18-3 in the first half of the first day game less than a week later (to the Oakland Raiders), the atmosphere at New Soldier Field was not feeling good. But early in the third quarter the Bears started to gain some momentum. It all started with Rich Gannon having his "pocket picked" by Alex Brown, and the Bears were able to march deep into Oakland Raiders territory; the comeback was on. About an hour later, after a last-second field goal by Paul Edinger, the game was over and the comeback was complete. The fans went home, intoxicated with their own happiness. With this poster, you are transported back that radiant fall afternoon in Chicago, when the new stadium started to feel a little bit more like home, and the team started to look a little bit more like the Bears of old. From photographer Rob Arra's Everlasting Images series, this incredible panoramic poster features every detail of that day in perfect focus, and as you pan across the image you feel like you are actually there! You can see the action on the field, the entourages on the sidelines, the fans in the stands, the exquisite design of the new grandstands built on top of the old bowl, and the Chicago skyline peeking up above the North end bleachers. The poster is in mint condition and it's dimensions are 13 1/2 x 39"; the photo has been placed on a piece of cardboard and sealed in plastic. This incredible piece is ready to be framed and hung on that empty wall space at home or in the office.
