First Air Mail Cover, 1938, Bombay to Kathiawar, King George VI period, 3 stamps of total value 2 Annas affixed, an interesting First Air Mail that emanated from Bombay GPO on 20th November 1938, this cover has ‘FIRST AIR MAIL BETWEEN BOMBAY & PORBANDAR and ‘BY AIR IN INDIA’ printed on the front. An interesting seal in Red ink reads ‘FIRST AIR MAIL | BOMBAY-KATHIAWAR | 21ST. NOV. 1938 tied in a rectangular box, pictorial cover with aero plane picture printed on it. At the back delivery postmark of PORBANDAR with the date was applied, the envelope also displays the printed text and logo of AIR SERVICES OF INDIA LTD at the reverse, excellent condition, Rare.
