Large mid 19th century lithographic print titled Hibernia Fire Engine Company, No.1 of Philadelphia-Instituted 1752-Assembling for Parade on October 5th, 1857. Image shows 27 firemen in front of their station house wearing their parade uniforms. A decorative pumper and reel cart are also pictured, and a large United States flag flies from the roof of the building. Image art by James Queen, lithography by Duval and Sons of Philadelphia. Print measures 29.5 x 21.5 and exhibits some minor soiling, several edge tears, two of which reach image. Print is also trimmed tight at top with no margin. Margin has ink stamp at lower left stating it came from James Queen's file. c. mid 19th century.
