Fiorello LaGuardia Typed Letter Signed “F. LaGuardia”. One page, 8.25” x 10.5”, Office of the Mayor letterhead, New York, August 6, 1940, to Margaret Morin. A short note from the popular New York mayor in which he tries to coerce Miss Morin to accept a “part time job in prison,” presumably in a music program for inmates. Fiorello Henry LaGuardia (1882-1947) was a popular three-term mayor of New York and former Congressman. The letter is in near fine condition with the usual fold creases. LaGuardia's signature is bold and bright. The letter comes with the original matching envelope which has some staining and soiling, else very good condition.

Shipping: Flat Material, Small (view shipping information)
