Finely engraved period close copy, likely Belgian-made, of a Webley Bull Dog DA revolver marked “British Lion” and “W. Moore & Co.”, .44 cal., 2-1/2” barrel, nickel finish, checkered wood grips, #NVSN. This gun is in overall very good to fine condition showing considerable original nickel finish, exceptional scroll engraving on the frame, barrel and cylinder, very good action and bore, very good grips showing some wear andan old small loss to the front toe of the left grips. These guns were popular on the Western frontier and most major cities where self-protection was a necessity from the “rougher element” of the community. Est.:$800-$1,600.
