Finely engraved panel scene Merwin & Hulbert large frame DA Model with topstrap and fluted cylinder, square butt, lanyard ring, .44-40 cal., 7” barrel, nickel finish with gold wash, ivory grips, #19649 with interiorassembly numbers 2184. This gun is in overall excellent condition showing approx. 95% original nickel with remnants of gold wash in cylinder flutes and face of cylinder, extensively engraved with a panel scene of astanding elk on the left side of the frame, fine bore, crisp action, beautiful mellow ivory grips with a slight old loss on the rear toe area of the left grip; the mechanics of this M & H are excellent and so tightthat when the barrel assembly and cylinder are removed, the trademark “suction” effect of occurs as the assembly is taken off the frame’s arbor. A really high quality big frame Merwin & Hulbert with all the bells and whistles! Est.: $10,000-$20,000. Note: Gun came from the collection of Tom Westin and is marked so under the grips.
