Finely embroidered antique Chinese Ladies slippers, approx. 6” in length with petite heels (slipper is approx. 3” in height), overall very good + condition with document summarizing from Lyons Ltd Antique Prints, Palo Alto, Calif. aGodey’s Lady Book of 1855 picturing a similar slipper and referencing the early Chinese practice of binding women’s feet to keep them small in size.
