Produced in 1955 by Lud Borovnik of Ferlach, Austria for Sluig's. There are 13 arms companies, multi-generational family operations, in the city of Ferlach, and their products are counted among the world's most beautiful and finest. Single brass bead, with "MADE IN AUSTRIA" marked on the matte vent rib, Boehler special barrels, modified/full chokes, ejectors and 3 inch chambers. Grey finished scalloped box lock action, engraved with scroll and floral designs, with field scenes of game birds on the sides and "Sluig's" over a cabin on the trigger guard. Gold double triggers and tang mounted automatic safety. Mounted with a nicely figured skip line checkered walnut forearm and pistol grip stock with a horn grip cap, shadow-line cheekpiece and checkered horn buttplate. Length of pull is 14 inches 1 1/8 inch drop at comb, 2 3/8 inches at heel.

Condition: Excellent. The barrels retain 98% original blue finish with slight edge wear. The trigger guard retains 98% original blue finish with some thinning. The triggers retain almost all of the original gold finish. The wood is excellent with a few scattered minor dings and handling marks, with crisp checkering. The engraving and markings are clear. Mechanically excellent.
