Fine quality hand woven Kashan design Rug. Made of all natural, vegetable dye, hand woven, baby lamb's wool pile on cotton foundation. This is an exquisite Kashan floral design on a beige background. Given the fact that rugs are product of a desert like environment, it is only natural to use primary colors in the majority of the rugs produced as a means of absorbing the harsh sunlight in order to be soothing to the eyes. Therefore it is rather rare and unusual to come across rugs with such predominant soft tones. This is an exceptionally intricate and exquisite piece with great attention given to detail floral pattern. This piece is hand woven with about 100 knots per square inch. Creases in this rug are due to fold and not a defect. Size: 6 feet 3 inches X 4 feet 2 inches. Country of origin: Nepal.
