Manufactured from 1863-1875. Fixed pinched blade front sight and notched rear sight. The top barrel flat is marked "PATENTED SEPT. 14. 1858 / E. REMINGTON & SONS. ILION NEW YORK. U.S.A / NEW-MODEL". Brass trigger guard. Single letter inspection marks (C, H, R, W) are stamped on most of the components. Matching serial number on barrel, frame, and grips. Smooth walnut grips with a boxed script cartouche (BH) on the left panel and "L" inspector letter on the bottoms of both grip panels. Complete with a U.S. flap holster. The flap has two latching stud holes, with the back of the belt loop stamped "LANZ, OWEN & CO. / CHICAGO" and the front of the flap stamped with the inspector initials "HK".

Condition: Very fine. The revolver retains 70% original blue finish with the balance a smooth gray patina. There is some scattered minor spotting with some minor pitting (mostly on the top strap and barrel). The grips are very fine with some scattered minor handling marks with a very small chip on the bottom of the left panel. The cartouche is clear and crisp. The holster is very good with extensive flex wear on the flap and some minor handling marks. The stitching is tight.
