The top barrel flat is marked "PATENTED DEC. 17, 1861 / MANUFACTURED BY REMINGTON'S ILION, N.Y.". German silver cone front sight with grooved top strap rear sight. It has the slot in the loading lever and brass trigger guard. There are inspector marks on most of the components. Matching serial number on the barrel, left side of the frame under the grip and both grips. The left grip panel has a clear cartouche.

Condition: Fine. The barrel retains 40% original blue finish with the balance a smooth brown patina. The remaining surfaces have a smooth brown patina with scattered traces of original blue on the frame and cylinder and traces of original case colors on the loading lever and frame. The trigger guard has an aged brass patina. The grips are very fine with some minor handling marks with an excellent original cartouche.
