Fine U.S. E.G. Lamson Ball Patent Civil War Repeating Carbine
Blade front and 2-leaf rear sights, with the left side of the receiver equipped with a saddle ring and bar and marked "E.G. LAMSON. & CO. / WINDSOR, VT. / U.S. / BALLS PATENT. / JUNE 23, 1863 / MAR 15, 1864". A "S" proof is present on the rear sight base, hammer, lever, ring bar and breechblock. Smooth straight grip stock, with casehardened forearm tip and barrel band, knurled ramrod, "P" next to a boxed cartouche directly behind the ring bar, a small three letter stamp ahead of the casehardened, "S" marked buttplate.

Condition: Fine. The barrel shows 30% blue with the balance a mixed brown and gray patina, with some scratching and handling marks. Case colors are also 30% intact, strongest in the protected areas, turning brown and silver otherwise. Stock is very fine, with pressure dents and scratches. Mechanically excellent.
