Fine Remington Elliot Ring Trigger .32 Caliber Derringer
Manufactured from 1863 to 1888, this blue finished, four shot, .32 caliber pistol uses a cluster of stationary barrels and a revolving firing pin. The barrels are arranged in a square pattern, with "MANUFACTURED BY E. REMINGTON & SONS, ILION, N.Y." and "ELLIOT'S PATENTS MAY 29, 1860-OCT.1, 1861" markings. German silver blade front and frame notched rear sights. The derringer is functionally a double action only, with the concealed hammer operated entirely by the rear motion of the ring trigger. The grip section is contoured so the butt rests on the ring finger. Fitted with rosewood grips.

Fine. The barrel cluster retains 40% of the original bright blue finish and the frame retains some strong traces of blue in the protected areas, with the overall balance a smooth brown-gray patina. The grips are excellent with some light scratches and some minor dings. The markings are clear and crisp.
