From “The Art of the Saltillo” by Mark Sublette, Medicine Man Gallery, page 4:
“The Saltillo’s stunning palette of colors is laid down on some of the tightest handspun wool ever produced. The resulting tactile and visual experience leaves one in awe of the fine work and artistry required to create each piece. The weavers of these masterpieces had not only the skill of an expert craftsman, but also the eye of an artist. The combination of exquisitely fine wool and discriminating color choice makes each weaving a sensory delight.”
