Fine Martially Inspected Civil War Remington New Model Army Revolver
Manufactured from 1863-1875. Fixed pinched blade front sight and notched rear sight. The top barrel flat is marked "PATENTED SEPT. 14. 1858 / E. REMINGTON & SONS. ILION NEW YORK. U.S.A / NEW-MODEL". Brass trigger guard. Single letter inspection marks (H, R, B and D) are stamped on most of the components. Matching serial number on frame and barrel. Smooth walnut grips with a boxed script cartouche (OWA) on the left panel and "A" inspector letter on both bottoms.

Condition: Fine. The revolver retains 50% of the original finish with most of the remaining finish being on the barrel with scattered areas of smooth brown and gray patina. The hammer retains most of the original bright case colors. The trigger guard has been polished at some time and is beginning to age again. The grips are fine with a few minor dents on the bottoms and several chips along the lower edges. The cartouche is crisp. The markings are crisp and clear. The action is excellent.
