Fine Engraved Unmarked English Six-Shot Percussion Pepperbox Pistol
This pistol is a fine example of six-shot English made percussion pepper box. No makers mark or serial number. The casehardened barrel is engraved in a simple shell pattern on the muzzle of each barrel and marked with "Crown/crossed spears" in each barrel flute. The side plates, bar hammer, backstrap, butt, and trigger guard are all similarly engraved with a simple but elegant scroll and vine pattern. English walnut grips are finely hand checkered and the casehardened diamond screw inlays have also been engraved.

Very fine. The casehardened barrels show 60% original case colors the balance has darkened. The frame and grip strap show 70% brilliant and bright original colors darkening on the exposed points and edges. Mechanically needs work. The grips are excellent with very fine sharp checkering showing a very small handling chip on the upper right side. Overall a high quality example of an English pepperbox pistol.
