Fine. The frame retains nearly 95% of the original silver. The barrels have for the most part a smooth dark brown patina with some minor pitting, mostly concentrated in the same area. The hammer has a smooth grayish patina and the trigger guard shows scattered strong traces of original blue finish mixed with smooth mottled gray patina. The buttcap is darkening with age, otherwise the backstrap is thinning and there is a small area of wear on the nipple shield. The slightly undersized grips are fine with a number of small bruises and dings, and the checkering remains crisp. The engraving remains clear. The action is fine.
