Manufactured in 1874. Blade front sight integral with the barrel, which is marked "COLT'S HOUSE PISTOL / HARTFORD CT U.S.A." flanked by Maltese crosses and the matching serial number is marked on the bottom of the barrel and on the butt. The ejector rod is mounted in the cylinder pin and extends through a lug on the bottom of the barrel almost to the muzzle. Nickel barrel and cylinder, silver plated brass frame, niter blue hammer and fitted with two-piece varnished walnut grips.

Condition: Very fine. The barrel and cylinder retain 80% original nickel finish with some minor flaking. The right side of the barrel has an area of loss with some minor pitting in that area. The frame retains 30% original silver plating with the exposed brass having an attractive patina. The grips are very fine with most of the varnish remaining and some minor dings and scratches. Mechanically excellent.
