Fine Civil War Range Production Smith & Wesson Number Two Revolver
Produced between 1860 and 1865. German silver blade front and notch rear sights, with the short one line address on top of the barrel and patent data around the center of the cylinder. The rear of the barrel lug, front cylinder face and the left side of the backstrap are stamped "A4". Two pin top strap, with a flared butt and smooth grip panels. Many of these pistols saw use in the Civil War, as they were the first larger caliber weapon with a self contained cartridge.

Condition: Very fine, showing 60% of the bright blue finish overall. A brown patina is forming, strongest on the barrel and grip straps, along with some bright edge wear and scattered light scratches. Grips are very good, with a few tiny chips and minor pressure dents. Mechanically very good.
