Measuring 37 inches overall, with a 31 inch curved double fuller blade, showing a pair of etched decorative panels on each side, "1861" on the right ricasso, "COLLINS & Co/HARTFORD/CONN" on the left, and "Tiffany/& Co./N.Y." in the lower left etched panel. Brass hilt, with pierced-through floral vine patterns on the guard, leafy vine engraving, and a brass wire wrapped sharkskin grip. With a blued steel, gilt brass fitted sheath.

Very fine. Some light spotting is visible on the excellent blade, with a few mild handling marks and strong etching. The brass shows a mixed aged patina, with some wear on the high points and light handling marks on the grip. The sheath is fine, with a mixed brown patina and spotting on the body, 50% of the original gilt finish on the furniture, and a deep aged patina on the exposed brass.
