Full black blindstamped and gilt leather, raised gilt bands, all edges gilt, inner cover edges gilt.  Both volumes are Very Good. Edgewear and along spine hinges, small loss of leather on spine of Vol. II, light scratches; foxing throughout. Bookplate on front pastedown. 3. London: Vernor and Hood; James Storer and John Greig, Engravers, 1803-1806. Green straight-grain morroco, gilt border, raised bands and gilt to spine, gilt edges, gray marbled endpapers. Very Good. Edgewear, including to spine hinges; spine is slightly darkened but gilt is bright, and cover green/gilt is bright, light scratches. Edges of endpapers toned/faded. Bookplate on free endpaper, foxing and toning. 4.  HOLMES, RICHARD R. [LIBRARIAN TO THE QUEEN]. Queen Victoria. Paris and London: Boussod, Valadon & Co., Fine Art Publishers to Her Majesty, 1897. Bound by Zaehnsdorf, for Simpkin, Marshall & Co., Ltd. 4to. Half brown morocco and blue and gold marbled paper, gilt borders, raised bands and gilt to spine, marbled endpapers to match cover, top edges gilt. Hand-colored frontispiece and engraved illustrations throughout. Very Good. Fading and light rubbing and fading to covers, edgewear. A few pages with toning, two pages heavily toned where paper was once left in, but otherwise very clean.
