Filmation Studios - "Star Trek" Hand Painted Limited Edition Cel (40/400) (1973). Standing before the Guardian of Forever, Aleek-Om, an Aurelian, is questioned by Spock about a point in Vulcan history, as Captain Kirk and Doctor McCoy look on. This beautiful limited edition cel is based on the episode universally heralded as the very best of the animated stories, "Yesteryear", sequel to Harlan Ellison's original series episode "City on the Edge of Forever". Measuring an overall 8" x 12", this art is framed within a 14" x 18" white matte board. The art is numbered and authenticated and in Excellent condition. From the collection of Richard and Wendy Pini. Richard says: "For fans of "Star Trek" who couldn't get enough from syndication after the original television series was cancelled, the animated Filmation cartoons were a godsend -- especially as many of the were written by the same top-notch talents who had contributed to the live-action show. This particular image (there were several offered at the time) has an amusing error -- can you spot it? Hint: count the number of fingers on Spock's pointing hand...."
