Boxer and sports writer who won the world flyweight championship in 1927. Glossy 8 x 10 photo, signed and inscribed in blue ballpoint “To Don Smith, a truly devoted and grateful sports fan. My sincere good wishes from Fidel LaBarba (Paris 1924) Olympic and (Los Angeles 1925) World’s professional flyweight champion.” In very good condition, with scattered light creases, mainly to corners, and light skipping, impressions, and irregular ink adhesion to signature and inscription, with LaBarba penning several letters in black ink as well.
