DS, in Spanish, two pages, 9 x 13.5, June 16, 1959, signed on the second page and initialed by Castro on the first page. Untranslated order nullifying a 1955 law that had required all municipalities to contribute 3% of its total revenue to the federal government to fund a national intelligence organization. In very good condition, with horizontal folds, handling wear, scattered creasing, punch holes along the left side, and irregularly trimmed left side of the first page. The bright blue seal and ribbon are intact. Six months earlier, Castro's revolutionary forces overthrew the Cuban dictator Fulgencio Batista, freeing Cuba from Batista’s police state.
