Feuerschutzpoliezi Officer's Dress Bayonet With Frog And Portepee. The blade is approx. 7 7/8" long, and is nickel/silver plated, drop forged steel construction, with a wide fuller to each side. The blade is in overall excellent conditionwith a mirror bright finish. The blade bears no maker's markings. The beige leather washer is intact. The hilt consists of a nickel/silver plated, alloy cross guard, a stylized eagle head pommel and molded black bakelite grips with arepeating, grooved, diamond pattern. The cross guard features one up-swept and one down-swept arm. The nickel/silver plating to the cross guard and pommel are both retained about 97% with minor surface scratching. The diamond grooved bakelitegrips are held in place by two, dome headed, alloy rivets. The bayonet comes housed in its original, black painted, magnetic sheet metal scabbard. The scabbard retains about 98% of its original black paint with a few small scratches and scuffsrevealing the base metal. The scabbard has a ball tipped end and an inserted top throat piece.
