This elegant tazza features a classical Bacchus relief, depicting the scene of Menalcas and Mopsus around a central motif with grapes and vine leaves. The central relief is inscribed with "MENALCAS MOPSYS" and "LEVILLAN." Impressed F. Barbedienne mark to edge of rim. This tray is a striking example of 19th-century French bronze work.
