French military officer (1851–1929) who served as Supreme Commander of the Allied Armies in the final months of World War I. Three items: Untranslated ANS, in French, signed “F.F.” in which Foch declines an invitation; and two invitations from French President Gaston Moumergue, one addressed to Foch and the other to his wife, each with a notation by Foch. In overall very good condition. Accompanied by a carbon reply to the letter.
