<table width="100%" border="0" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="4"><tr><td><em> This piece of American history will work well in many settings from American primative to formal French.</em></td></tr><tr> <td width="100%"> This Federal Light Stand is mid-19th century or earlier. Hand-cut dovetails, chamfered drawer bottoms and appropriate aging on unprotectected lower drawer bottom compared to more protected upper drawer bottom. The finish on the case appears to be an old re-finish or possibly an alcohol rub of an earlier French Polish. The turned legs appear to be original finish or at least older than the case finish. The differing finishes do not detract. In fact, they make the piece visually more striking than otherwise would be. The patina is goodwith enough old wear to give desireable character. The glass pulls show age but are not original, unless attachment hardware has been replaced with newer plated screws and nuts. The table contains a handwritten note: "according to my mother this table is about 100 yrs. old-". The note is not dated, but the table is certainly about two and a half times that age, today. This is an eye-catching table of a very useful size. Would work well in many different settings. </td></tr><tr> <td> </td></tr><tr> <td>Reference #: A2926RCW</td></tr><tr><td>Condition:Good</td></tr><tr><td>Year:c.1850</td></tr><tr><td>Country:American</td></tr><tr><td>Height:29</td></tr><tr><td>Depth:17.75</td></tr><tr><td>Width:20.5</td></tr><tr><td>Weight:27</td></tr><tr><td>Title:Federal Two-Drawer Light Stand</td></tr><tr><td>Style:Federal</td></tr><tr><td>Materials:Walnut</td></tr><tr><td>Location:Dallas, Texas</td></tr></table>
