<td width="100%">
Hepplewhite cherry bowfronted chest of drawers having four cockbeaded and graduated drawers each edged in tiger maple which is an unusual treatment. This chest is appealing because it is proportionally correct. It affords a nicely refined arpon and flare to the outer edge of the French foot. This means it will hold it financial and astectic value over time. Brass pulls are correct replacements. The glue blocks are predominately original with one exception - this one is visible in the image showing the underside of the chest as it is rather large (lower right side). Several have been reglued but appear to be right. Typically, these chests are mahogany and present a string line inlay to the drawer fronts which relieves the the broad surface area of the drawers. This chest is constructed of cherry which are becoming increasingly difficult to acquire. New England - circa 1825
