This February 4, 1815 issue of the "New York Weekly Museum or Polite Repository of Amusement and Instruction" measures about 5.75” x 9.25”, 8 pages, New York. Disbound, small scattered spotting, corner creases. The back page has a detailed account of the battle near New Orleans on Dec. 23rd, and noting, according to General Andrew Jackson's account of the battle, the death of Col. Lauderdale, of Gen. Coffee's brigade, and the wounding of Colonels Dyer and Gibson, with about 100 others killed, wounded or missing. There is also an account of the British in Georgia taking possession of St. Mary's with about 2,000 men and no force to oppose them, and advancing towards Darien, noting that "the inhabitants were deserting their plantations and hastening to the interior, to avoid the savage and black allies the enemy."
