<B>Fay Wray's Personally Owned Joseff of Hollywood Necklace.</B></I> This vintage Joseff of Hollywood necklace, dating from the '30s, was a part of Fay Wray's personal jewelry collection. The dazzling necklace could have been worn by the <I>King Kong</B></I> star in one of her films, as over ninety-percent of the jewelry supplied for productions in the '30s and '40s were created by Joseff of Hollywood. The centerpiece of the gold toned necklace is an ornate removable broach, with a large amethyst-like faceted faux gem. Many Joseff of Hollywood pieces have a matte gold-plated patina -- reputedly to prevent the reflection from studio lights and camera flashes -- and this piece is no exception. Upper-case block letters read "Joseff of Hollywood" on tiny oval plaques on the back of the necklace and broach, dating the piece to the peak of Wray's career. A lovely keepsake from the beauty who killed the beast.
