Manufactured in France, the shotgun features a single bead sight on the matte solid rib, chambered 2 3/4", chokes gauge at modified/improved modified with extractor. The barrel flats are marked with various markings and proofs, as well as the matching serial number. The water table is marked with an oval "THIVILLIER / FRERES" a crown over "PT" and the serial number. The scallop box lock action features light floral scroll engraving and marked "FAUVEL / DOUDE VILLE". The fences are relief oak leaf engraved and the break lever is marked "HELICE QUADRUPLE VERROU" in gold. Double triggers, tang mounted manual safety and mounted with a checkered forearm and straight grip stock with a serrated horn buttplate and sling swivels. Length of pull is 14 1/8".

Condition: Excellent. The barrels retain 99% of the blue refinish with some wear on the muzzle and a few minor scratches and scuffs. The frame retains 95% original nickel finish with some frosting. The trigger guard has a smooth gray patina. The wood is good with a couple of chips along the upper left side edge of the forearm, a number of small dents in the wrist and toe area and right front comb area, and crisp checkering. All of the gold remains on the break lever marking, the markings are clear, and the action is excellent.
