<B>Farmingdale, NY</B></I> - $5 1929 Ty. 1 <B>The First NB</B></I> Ch. # 8882<BR> This is a rare bank located in Suffolk County on Long Island, where farms are now few and far between. It was the only institution chartered here, and notes from this bank have been sought after by this county's many collectors for decades. The census shows only three large and seven small examples, with most tightly kept in long term holdings. Several of the Series 1929 examples are quite low grade. Fortunately for collectors, this piece, from the Kansas City collection, is a happy exception. There are a few small age spots on the right side, but this barely circulated specimen easily makes the full <B>Very Fine</B></I> grade.
