This rifle has a fixed front sight and a ladder rear sight with a polished face and 2,850 yard "volley notch". The barrel is marked "S A/flaming bomb/2-13" behind the front sight. The receiver has the standard markings and the front tang of the floor plate is marked "flaming bomb/N.R.A.". Mounted on a smooth walnut straight grip stock with finger grooves, a single reinforcing bolt, a boxed "J.F.C." proof, a "circled P" proof on the bottom of the wrist, sling swivels and a checkered steel buttplate with trapdoor housing a nickeled brass oiler with pull through patch holder and bore brush. With a star gauge hanging tag numbered to the gun and a Hollifield Target Practice Rod Kit with booklet of 149 targets, two rods in different lengths, 1 30-06 "cartridge" for short rod, aim fixing target slip, marking disks and wooden box.

Condition: Excellent plus, 98% original blue finish with some high edge wear, scratches and some thinning. The stock is also excellent plus with some scattered minor scratches and dings. The practice kit is very good with one "cartridge" and only one target has been used. There is a dark aged patina on the brass components. The outside label is mostly absent, the interior label is mostly intact and there are a number of scratches and dings on the wooden case.
