Philadelphia with ornately engraved German silver or similar alloy mounts. Double keyed medium weight octagon barrel of .40 caliber rifled. Measures 53” overall with 37 ½” barrel. The lock is finely engraved to match the mounts and a gold line inlaid at the breech. The stock has “burnt cord” decoration to simulate early fiddleback stripes. The condition is very good plus with considerable original brown on the barrel and some minor erosion and beginning pinprick pitting. The stock is exceptional with crisp checkering and at least very good to almost fine. The lock is working. A very pretty rifle. (Antique) Est.: $3,000-$6,000
