<B>Famed Typographer Bruce Rogers Autograph Letter Signed</B></I> "<I>Bruce Rogers</B></I>". Four pages, 5.25" x 8", on Houghton, Mifflin and Company letterhead, Cambridge, Massachusetts, February 26, 1903, to Curtis Hidden Page, New York, New York, with original envelope. In this ALS Rogers seeks to explain the use of certain typographical features in a proof of a work entitled <I>Roman.</B></I> It reads in part: "<I>The returned proof of "Roman" with your annotations has been sent to me from Boston with the request that I endeavor to explain the use of the ornamental or 'swash' capitals-…</B></I>". Bruce Rogers (1870-1957) is regarded as one of the best known typographers of the 20th century. Curtis Hidden Page (1870-1946) was an educator and writer.
