Produced in 1980, this Special Engraved Edition revolver features and ramp blade front and adjustable notch rear sights, with the standard markings on either side of the pinned barrel and frame. The barrel, frame, cylinder and trigger guard are Class A scroll engraved with punch dot background. Grips are smooth, with Smith & Wesson medallions. In a black leatherette case with purple velvet French-cut lining. The accompanying copy of the Smith & Wesson letter verifies this as a "Special Engraved Edition", 357 magnum, 2 1/2" barrel, nickel finish, Class A engraving, smooth Goncalo Alves round butt grips and that it was shipped to International Distributors Inc., Miami, Florida on April 21, 1980.
