Factory Engraved Colt 1911 .45 cal. SN C176166 National Match semi automatic pistol with factor lett
National Match semi automatic pistol with factor letter indicating one gun shipment to Wolf and Klar Fort Worth TX July 5 1934, blue with gold plated slide, safety and hammer, factory engraved, stocks not listed. Pistol now shows old nickel refinish with Colt 22 conversion and cut away trigger guard in the Fitz style. Scroll engraving includes left, right and bottom frame and front of grip area. Pistol features impressive ivory grips, left side set with 3 gold coins dated 1884 1909 1928, right side with classic carved Texas steer head eyes with bezel set rubies, gold horns, nose ring and 5 gold coins dated 1899 1920 1918 bottom 2 both1857. Pistol was purchased from a Texas estate years ago, the family attributing the gun to Manual "Lone Wolf" Gonzaullas, Capt. of Company B Texas Rangers Headquartered in Dallas. Gonzaullas had assembled over 500 firearms in his collection and liked highly embellished guns with the Fitz style trigger guard. No supporting documentation however it remains an interesting Texas gun that deserves time and research as to its origin.
