Manufactured circa 1899 to 1911. It is unknown how many Model 1900s were contracted to Russia and very little is known about the Russian contract pistols. These pistols were usually given to outstanding graduates of the Imperial Military Academy and can be identified by the crossed rifle marking on the left side of the frame above the grip. The left side of the slide is marked "FABRIQUE- NATIONALE-HERSTAL-LIEGE (BROWNING'S PATENT)" and the left side of the frame above the trigger is marked with a pistol and FN logo in an oval over "BREVETTE S.G.D.G.". Below the crossed rifles is the number "2226" and there are three Belgium proof marks on the left side of the frame, slide and rear sight base, with the matching serial number on the right side of the frame, slide and rear sight base. There is a cocking indicator mounted in the front of the rear sighting groove. Blade front sight, nickel finish with blue trigger and safety lever, nickel FN marked magazine, lanyard ring on the left heel and fitted with checkered hard rubber grips with the "FN" monogram at the top.
