Fry" as assistant adjutant general, 2pp. 4to., Arlington, Va., July 29, 1861, to future brevet brigadier general Henry L. Abbot directing that he inspect the 2nd Maine, 13th New York, 2nd Wisconsin, 14th New York and 9th Maine after the debacle of First Bull Run. From Abbot's personal papers with notation by Abbot indicating the colonels of the regiments and various weapons used. Included is an war-date A.L.S. by Fry 1p. 4to., Arlington, July 15, 1861, one week before the battle of Bull Run, assigning Abbot to command under Gen. Tyler. Two pieces, very good.
