WIDTH 22.5/CM HEIGHT 8.5/CM (Lot 07, Sotheby's New York, March 14, 2017) Six subtle lobes, the interior painted in dark tones of underglaze with a medialion containing a fruiting and flowering peach spray within a triple circle, surrounded by six floral sprays of lotus, camellia, chrysanthemum and hollyhock, below a border of smaller detached floral sprays within the lines, the exterior painted with fruiting branches of lychee, pomegranate, loquat, cherry and peach above smaller floral sprays, the short footrim with a band of classic scroll, the base with the six-character mark within a double circle.

Note : Conical bowls of this fruit-and-flower design can be counted among the most successful blue and white bowl patterns of the early Ming dynasty and belong to the classic repertoire of the Xuande (1426-35) imperial kilns. 2.Buyer's Premium In addition to the hammer price, the buyer agrees to pay Super Auction Gallery. A 20% buyer's premium will be added to the hammer price of each lot for bidders.
3.Absentee Bids - We will use reasonable efforts to carry out written bids given to us prior to the sale for the convenience of clients who are not present at the auction in person, by an agent or by telephone. Bids must be placed in U.S. dollars. If we receive written bids on a particular lot for identical amounts, and these are the highest bids on the lot at the auction, it will be sold to the person whose written bid was received and accepted first.
