FRIEDRICH-WILHELM KRUGER
FRIEDRICH-WILHELM KRUGER
(1894 - 1945) Nazi official and high-ranking member of the SA and SS. Kruger was Higher SS and Police Leader in German-occupied Poland. As such, he was responsible for crushing rebellion in the extermination camps, setting up forced labor camps, deporting people from Warsaw ghettos, so-called "anti-partisan" fighting, and the driving out of over one million farmers. A suicide at war's end. Rare war-date typed D.S. on his official SS/Police letterhead, 1p. 4to., Krakau, Oct. 1, 1940 concerning notification of the transfer of SS-Obersturmbannfuhrer Gerhard Rouenhoff from Lublin to Krakau. Some wrinkles and offsetting from dampness, else very good. Rouenhoff commanded the 57.SS-Standarte "Thuringer Wald".
