Dutch-born American captain of industry. Known as “Captain Pabst” since his seafaring days, his brilliant management and development of the Best & Company brewery made it one of the largest manufacturing enterprises in the U.S. In 1889, the company’s name was permanently changed to Pabst. Partly printed DS “<i>Fred Pabst</i>” as president, 1p, oblong 4to, Milwaukee, Apr. 13, 1874. Beautiful Milwaukee brewery vignette at top center. Stock issue of one share of capital stock at $1,000 per share, to Henry Besh. Insignificant toning; o/w a Fine example. Very attractive. With transfer certificate glued to left edge.</span></p>

1. Auction Catalogue No. 19 is a Mail, Fax, Phone, Email and
Internet Live Bid Auction and is conducted under the laws of the State
of West Virginia by Gil Griggs, Licensee of Charleston, W. V. License
No. 002.
2. Absentee bid closing date is April 5th, 2002, 10:00 PM EST.
3. There is a 15% Buyer’s Premium charged on the final hammer price
of each lot. An additional 2½% Premium will be added to any lots
purchased through ebayliveauctions.com.
4. The Auctioneer reserves the right to reject any bid for any
reason.
5. The Auctioneer reserves the right to withdraw any lot for any
reason.
6. In the event of duplicate high bids, the earliest bid received
will be the winner.
