Several scarce early stamps noted though condition is variable, better incl. 1861 unofficial perf. 20c, 40c & 80c U, plus 1c (SG. 80) U, with small thin. Good range of 1876-90 Peace & Commerce with Type I to 1f incl. 2c U & 20c M, Type II to 5f incl. 2c SG. 225, 15c SG. 232, 15c SG. 259, 25c SG. 235, 25c SG. 264, 30c SG. 236, 35c SG. 268, 50c SG. 272 & 1f SG. 240 - all M plus 10c SG. 231 U (a few short perfs). Good Merson high values M or U. Solid range of middle period incl. many better such as 1914 Red X M, 1918 Red X M, 1922 War Orphan opts. set M, 1929-33 Views & Buildings set U incl. most varieties & 1937 Paris Exhibition M/Sheet M. Useful Airs to 1955 incl. 1936 set to 3f 50 M, also noted range of 1922-46 pre cancels, postage dues, military franks & some 'back of the book' material. Earlies are in mixed condition with occasional foxing but above average for the period, later material is good to fine. Allowance for condition has been made in the valuation.
